Say hello to Night Rider Decaf. Our house decaf more than holds its own next to its caffeinated counterparts!

This decaf comes from the lush highlands of Papua New Guinea, bringing together coffees from two stunning regions: Simbu Province and the Eastern Highlands. The limestone soils of Simbu add distinctive character, while the rich volcanic earth of the Eastern Highlands brings balance and depth, creating a smooth, well-rounded cup.

These coffees are grown by smallholder farmers who have refined their craft over generations. Only the ripest cherries are hand-picked, then sun-dried at origin until the parchment reaches the ideal moisture level. This careful, hands-on approach results in a clean and consistent coffee that truly reflects the region we've sourced this from.

After drying, the coffee is milled either locally or at a central facility in Goroka, where it’s screened and sorted to meet Paradise Mountain PSC B grade standards. To protect quality, the beans stay in the cooler highland climate until export, before making the long journey by road to the port of Lae.

For decaffeination, this lot travels to Bremen and undergoes the natural Water Ethyl Acetate process, also called the Sugarcane method. The beans are gently steamed and washed with ethyl acetate (derived from sugarcane) to remove caffeine while preserving flavour. After drying and final quality checks, the coffee is shipped and ready for roasting at our HQ, delivering all the taste without the buzz.
