This coffee is our first from DR Congo; it immediately stood out to us on the cupping table, and for good reason!  

Kahondo Village is located in the Isale region of North Kivu on the edge of Virunga National Park, bordered by Uganda to the west. The region has excellent conditions for specialty coffee production; with plentiful rainfall, high altitudes and highly fertile volcanic soil.

The Virunga coffee company, who produces this coffee, has sought to combat poverty in the area through significant investment in local infrastructure, farmer education and training.
