This beautiful Anaerobic Natural coffee is produced by the Carranza Family, who are the descendants of the first Me'phaa people who first planted coffee in Colombia de Guadalupe in the Montaña Alta region of Guerrero in Mexico.

Headed by Guadencio and Francisca Mejía Barrera along with their three sons, the family have been producing coffee together for 18 years. They now own nearly 10 hectares of land, across 5 farms, growing their coffee alongside timber and over 30 other food crops in a rich, biodiverse environment. In the coffee fields, they practice traditional polyculture, offering natural advantages such as greater resistance to coffee rust, enhanced soil health, and reduced pests (like the troublesome coffee borer beetle or gophers) through the synergy of diverse plant life, growing together in harmony.
