A word from our Head of Coffee, Siala:

I cupped this coffee back at the end of March on a dark & blustery night at the Scenery Coffee roastery in Bermondsey. On a table of about 16 very solid coffees, there were a few exceptionally good lots. This is the first we're releasing from our selection.. 2026 has been an interesting buying year for Ethiopian coffee, the internal cherry prices were extraordinarily high around the end of last year and this tightened washed coffee availability as smallholders chose to produce naturals at home rather than selling to washing stations. The southern regions also reported lower output overall. Whilst the availability of natural processed coffees was theoretically high, the challenge as ever is to find the reliably high-quality lots: coffees processed in a way in which we know they'll last. The Rumadamo Station where this was processed is part of the Dukamo family's Daye Bensa network, and year on year has delivered absolutely banging natural and extended fermentation lots.

If you've enjoyed explosively good Ethiopian natural lots in the last few years, chances are at least a few of them will have been Daye Bensa's. Based off of our initial sample roasts here at the roastery, Teleporter is already a firm favourite with team members, and we're really excited to share this with you!

Recommended for filter, however it makes a luxurious espresso if you're that way inclined...
