Our latest coffee, Whirlpool, comes from Mario Usiel’s farm near the town of Buenavista Loxicha. The area sits at a generally lower altitude, and Mario's farm, at 1,200+ metres, is fairly typical for the region. Traditional washed coffees grown at this elevation don't always reach the same heights as coffees from higher up, so younger producers like Mario have been experimenting with carefully managed natural processing instead, and Whirlpool is a great result of that hard work!

In the cup, you can expect juicy notes of plum and nectarine, a velvety mouthfeel, and a smooth caramel sweetness that rounds everything out. The natural process pulls all those fruit notes into one swirling, layered cup, with flavours folding into each other like they're caught in their own little current. Consider yourself pulled in!
